The Aosta valley offers numerous festivals throughout the year, festivals and fairs. The most important of the ancient Sant'Orsa Fair that takes place every year on 30/31 January, where over 1,000 exhibitors present their works of crafts, but also the least known Foire d'Été which takes place in August along the streets of the historic center of Aosta.
In May you can visit the Aosta Valley wineries participating in the event "Open Cellars". A unique opportunity to taste the wines of Aosta Valley.
But you can also visit medieval castles, the most famous castles of Fenis, Issogne and Sarre, or head down the valley to visit the most important museum Valle d'Aosta: the fort of Bard.
Or head to the city of Aosta to admire the Roman city with its monuments, such as the Arch of Augustus, the Porta Praetoria, the Roman Theatre and the walls, but also appreciate its churches, including the Cathedral and the church Saint Orso with its Roman cloister.
